Hey everyone, I'm looking for a company who'll print calendars (with photo(s) per month as opposed to 1 photo and the 12 months underneath it). Have any of you ever done this before? If yes, who'd you go with or who do you recommend?
I googled it and found Shutterfly and Kodak, but was wondering if there are any amazing companies out there I know not of.
Thanks!

Shared Ink
(they have a professional version for photographers.)

I make these every year for my family as Christmas gifts from www.costco.com. I create a picture collage with fotofusion and upload it as one picture for each month.

Thanks guys! I checked out these companies you guys recommend.. but how is the quality? Is it grainy, "cheap" looking? ....

I’ve used MPix and Shared Ink. MPix was OK for family stuff, but I wouldn’t sell them. Shared Ink was much better – I will probably experiment with them a little more. I didn’t sign up for the pro account yet, so mine was just the standard “everyone” can order. Here is a link to New York Photography – he loved Shared Ink. (Keep in mind he does B&W.)

I think they are great for family stuff, but I wouldn't sell them. They are not grainy. You can put a picture on a date if you want too (at least at Costco).

Hi James, thanks for that link... the calendar looks fabulous.. so it can only be in B&W (the calendar) or is it that the photographer (New York Photography) only does B&W? I'm a bit confused.

Sorry for the confusion - The photographer only does B&W. I noticed on his blog that he also reviews several companies that do books, but he talks about how well they reproduce his B&W photos.

The calendar I did was in color. I used the exact same photos for the Mpix and Shared Ink calendars and the Shared Ink was definitely better. However, it is a little more expensive.

I should also note that I did not like the software that Mpix provides – it was a little buggy on my computer. For Shared Ink (NOT the pro account) you just upload the photos and choose the month you want to put them on. The cropping was a little different on Shared Ink, I think I emaild them for the exact size so I could get the photos just the way I wanted before I uploaded.

Hope that helps,

JT
