Like Michelle I registered for OSP a few weeks ago and have been anxiously waiting for the privilege of posting... felt bad about the vigorous lurking I've been doing. I guess the server issues may have blocked us both. I have been really impressed with what I've seen so far of the OSP community. Hopefully sometimes I will be able to be a giver, not just a taker, but so far I am just soaking it all in!

I live in Fort Myers, Florida with my husband Andy and our three kids (7,5,3). I've always loved photography and back in the days of film, money was the main thing holding me back. Talked Andy into letting me get a 20D a couple years ago and never looked back (hooray for big hard drives and being able to take as many pictures as I like without guilt!). I love to shoot kids, especially my own, and kind of contemplated dipping my toes into the water, but held back due to nerves (and diapers). We spent last year in California while my husband worked on his MDiv (no, still not done yet) and I decided to take the plunge based on the joint influences of Erwin McManus, Me Ra Koh's blog, and some personal friends who just said "you should do this".

We moved back to Fort Myers last summer and I started shooting people for money... still working out the kinks on the business side. I have to say, y'all have been so helpful without even knowing it over the past few weeks in my research and decision making. Thank you! OSP was totally addicting even without posting privileges. I am looking forward to spending more time with you!

Reading back over my post, I should probably point out that I love (). I use them a lot, apparently. I also go on tangents like mad. Thanks for letting me share.
