What keeps you focused and enjoying your time while you're editing?
Certain CDs or songs, online radio, or in other formats?

Depends on time of day, mood, season, type of photos I'm working on...I could go on. I don't think there's any time during the day that I don't listen to music really. I can't stand silence...maybe only because I have really bad tinitus and there really is no silence but more than that, I just love music.

Louisville has the best public radio station in the world! They have a great "adult album alternative" format. I leave it on constantly; I can't stand silence either. But I also can't stand the sound of the television; the commercials drive me batty. On Sundays, they go to an all jazz format, which is great in the mornings with my coffee (like now), but I usually have to turn to my music on my computer by the afternoon; the jazz makes me sleepy sometimes on a Sunday afternoon!

I am a huge Sara Groves fan. Thought of her because she is from MSP too, Ginger. Her latest album is great like many of her older ones.
I also love to listen to classical music or NPR.

Lots of stuff, really. Typically classic rock - The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Kansas... I also like Yael Naim, Jack Johnson, etc.

Depends on my mood. Lately I've been on a trance kick... the mindless beats and quick pace really gets me into a zone. Usually its classic rock though... I'm a HUGE "Rush" fan.

Sigur Ros +1 Sigur Ros is so perfect for editing.
Silverchair's "Diorama" is really good too. It's very cinematic.

Sara Groves is one of my favorite artists. I have Add to the Beauty... If she has come out with a new one, I haven't gotten it yet! My husband and I play our cellos at her church from time to time. She's never been there when I've played, though. There was one time I couldn't play, and my husband did, and Sara sang with the orchestra that time. I was so jealous!!
