What keeps you focused and enjoying your time while you're editing?

Certain CDs or songs, online radio, or in other formats?
lamppert
Online Radio, the station I prefer is Radio Paradise.
the real tami
i either listen to my podcasts or just have my t..v on for background noise.

Depends on time of day, mood, season, type of photos I'm working on...I could go on. I don't think there's any time during the day that I don't listen to music really. I can't stand silence...maybe only because I have really bad tinitus and there really is no silence but more than that, I just love music.

crank up the itunes.... some days I'll listen to mellower stuff like Jack Johnson some days a little harder stuff like the Foo Fighters it all depends smile.gif

Louisville has the best public radio station in the world! They have a great "adult album alternative" format. I leave it on constantly; I can't stand silence either. But I also can't stand the sound of the television; the commercials drive me batty. On Sundays, they go to an all jazz format, which is great in the mornings with my coffee (like now), but I usually have to turn to my music on my computer by the afternoon; the jazz makes me sleepy sometimes on a Sunday afternoon!
DanD
Damien Rice and Teitur I like to listen to... to pick up the pace... some blue six...

I am a huge Sara Groves fan. Thought of her because she is from MSP too, Ginger. Her latest album is great like many of her older ones.

I also love to listen to classical music or NPR.
J*I*L*L HIGGINS
XM radio online.
Mark T.
Texas Blues Cafe podcasts. Loud.
Dave T.
+100. clap.gif

I love their ecclectic mix.

Lots of stuff, really. Typically classic rock - The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Kansas... I also like Yael Naim, Jack Johnson, etc.
Leon
Creative work: anything cinematic, moody, emotional.
Sigur Ros
Alexi Murdoch
Sufjan Stevens
Greg Laswell
• Bob Marley
• Hem, Ingrid Michaelson, Alison Krause

Color work: upbeat, slammin' drums.

• Dance music from the UK: LTJ Bukem, Wiley
Matisyahu
Relient K
• Beastie Boys, Beck, Robert Walter's 20th Congress
David Vandervelde

When it comes down to it, I'm just a music lover. If it's got heart, emotion and/or a beat I'm game! biggrin.gif

Depends on my mood. Lately I've been on a trance kick... the mindless beats and quick pace really gets me into a zone. Usually its classic rock though... I'm a HUGE "Rush" fan. wink.gif

+1 Sigur Ros is so perfect for editing.

Silverchair's "Diorama" is really good too. It's very cinematic.

Sara Groves is one of my favorite artists. I have Add to the Beauty... If she has come out with a new one, I haven't gotten it yet! My husband and I play our cellos at her church from time to time. She's never been there when I've played, though. There was one time I couldn't play, and my husband did, and Sara sang with the orchestra that time. I was so jealous!!
