So- this is crazy folks...let me tell you the story...

We moved from Cheyenne, WY a few months ago and had our house on the market. We get a call from TLC saying they want to show our house on this show as one of the "runner's up". You know- the house that DIDN'T get chosen. Well, the people who are on the show never really saw our house, the show just wanted to show our home because it was a "nice showcase home".

BUT!

We know everything they say is either made up or completely untrue because we weren't there and no one got any info from our realtor. We already hate the caption that goes along with the show: "fixer-upper and cramped" are some of the words that are used! Yikes!

We don't care though, we are really excited that it is going to be on television! (We took the house off the market, but if you see it and want to buy a house in Cheyenne, WY PM me!)

If you are totally bored tonight and just MUST watch it... So you know which is mine... oh- and it's on 8:30 Mountain time, and 7:30 Pacific.

IT WAS TERRIBLE!

I can't get over the show and how bad it was! My husband and I are pretty much laughing about it because of how ridiculous it was. They cut the price that we had the home listed at by almost $90,000 and didn't do anything other then show it from the front of the home with the couple shaking their heads "no" in the front yard. They also said the couple was looking at foreclosures and fixer-uppers. Ours isn't either...that didn't bother us so much as the price cut! We are going to put the house on the market in another few months...maybe...and we just hope no one interested in the home saw this show and saw the price TLC put our home at! (Are you KIDDING ME?!?!)

So- no sweat---you missed NOTHING!

We just saw your house! We had to rewind a few times, but we saw it! That realtor lady was driving us crazy.

About the price cut: That would PISS ME OFF! I can't believe that TLC would do that. They are screwing with your $ doing that. Did you have to sign anything to be "on the show"? Was the permission to misrepresent your listing part of that? If not, I'd be contacting TLC. Either way, it is making me look at one of my favorite TV channels in a whole different light.

UghWe signed a release- my old realtor is faxing me a copy of it because we want to see EXACTLY what we signed away... I know it said they could say things about the home that weren't accurate, but even our Realtor was shocked that they changed the price- esp that dramatically. We thought what they were going to say was some reason why the couple didn't choose our home. The dishonest part of that being they never LOOKED at our home! It was our own fault---I guess I didn't think they would outright LIE about it! Glad you saw it- but so sorry you wasted your time!

Yes...the good 'ole Air Force brought us to Cheyenne for 4+ years. It was fine while we were there- a little on the slow paced side, but we had some great friends and I had a REALLY great situation with work and then my biz when I started it. I am not a country girl- but I LOVED CFD!!! I even had a Press Pass last year to take pics- it was awesome! I was too intimidated to use it the way I wanted to---down in the shoot's with those cowboys and such, but I still had an awesome time!
