I placed a big order with WHCC last night, but apparently it didn't go through; I never received a confirmation email. I just put in another order--went fine, got the email (before I realized that the one from last night wasn't there), so I tried to restart Roes and it is giving me a Java error and won't start. I tried restarting my computer, and then also launching it from WHCC site, and also reloading it, with the same error.

Can someone try to launch Roes and tell me if it is just my computer, or if the problem is from WHCC's end???

(side note vent--UGH!!! The order I put in last night was huge and complicated, and I'm so frustrated that I have to do it all over again and now I can't even get Roes to launch!!!!! ok, vent over)

Just launched it and it was fine for me. I wonder what happened on your end? Are they open on the weekends to answer calls/emails?

i sent them a 4400mb order once. took 30 hours to upload on dsl.... they didn't get it. .... made me sooo mad. Sorry, just letting you know you aren't alone.

Oh, I'm so frustrated right now I could scream or cry one...trying to get work done, 2 young kids who need me because my husband is sick...when it rains it pours

Make sure you have the laest and great flash update on your PC. It happen to me a while back until I update Flash. Worth a try....

My ROES was VERY slow to launch yesterday. Took like 20 mins!

I placed several orders yesterday with no problem. Hmmm. I feel your pain though.

Yeah, it is really odd, because I placed another order this morning with no problem at all. It's only when I got that confirmation email that I realized that I never got one from the order last night. I checked my account online, and sure enough, it wasn't there, only the one from this morning. So then when I tried to relaunch Roes, it won't load, just comes up with an error message, something like "the application failed to load". And of course I don't understand the details on the error message.

I have tried reloading Java, updating flash, still nothing. And my computer guy (husband) is sick in bed. At least my mom took the kids for the night so I can try and get some other stuff done, I guess. (big sigh.....)

Did you ever find out how to solve the problem?

I am encountering the same problem frustratingly. I am on an iMac, and none of my ROES apps are working. The error message says something like "Unable to launch the specified application."

When I click on the details button I get the following message:

An error occurred while launching/running the application.

Category: Invalid Argument Error

Could not load file/URL specified: file://localhost/Users/vanessabartels/Library/Caches/Java/cache/javaws/http/Dwww.softworksroes.com/P80/DMROES/DMlabs/DMMPIX/AMlaunch.jnlp

The funny thing is, I tried WHCC ROES and Mpix Roes and they both give basically the same error message.

I did email Mpix help desk and they responded telling me to clear my Java Cache, which I have done multiple times to no avail.

I am open to any suggestions...thanks for your help!!

vanessa, try re-downloading the launch.jnlp file from WHCC's ROES page. i've had a few issues, but they're normally resolved by re-downloading ROES.
