Tonight was the first of a trio of weddings I'll be shooting without ever setting foot in SB and it was amazing!

The whole thing was at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood and it was unlike any wedding I've ever shot! Many more pics to come but here was our slideshow from earlier tonight and OSP's very own Danielle Gillett joined us for the shoot and it was such a treat to have her along! I'd post up a pic of her Tim and me but Tim has all the cards so he'll have to email me that one along with the pic of me and my hot ex who was at the wedding too! smile.gif

Wow what a unique viel, that shot is awesome. I also love the backwards reflection shot of the sign with them on the roof. Great job DJ!

David,

Took a quick look through the slideshow this morning, on my way out to a session.

WOW! Gave me some ideas for a simple portrait session. That veil shot is out of this world incredible! I'd love some feedback on how you achieved this shot.

Great Stuff, DJ.

Nice to see a departure from the traditional in both the ceremony and the photography.

smile.gif Yea! This wedding was a new experience for me ... super dark and kinda goth like but super super cool! I loved it and I got to pull out the 1.2 and 1.4 a good bit which was fun too!

The shot above was actually just taken in the hotel room when somebody was putting on her shoes. She was standing under a light and I just got in tight with my 50mm @ 1.4 and pulled the trigger. You can see better how the light was hitting her and the surroundings from this picture...

I got to pull out the 1.2 and 1.4

Gee thanks DJ -- 2 more lenses I need to go out and purchase now! laughing.gif

Seriously, I have been wanting to get a fixed lens for some time. Which of the two, the 85mm 1.2 and the 50mm 1.4 do you like better? Better = you find that you use more often.

LOVE the hanging dress shot...those are always my favorites! camera.gif
