Full Version: Which Version do You like Better?

So I'm working on the marketing of my Little MoMints classes and I've come up with these two designs. I'm leaning towards number 2, but my husband thinks that the picture should go because "I get the feeling that other people won't find the weird faces our
child makes quite as cute as we do. Perhaps a smile?"

I was thinking the picture would grab people's attention and also help portray the question at the top of the card. I was going to put some cuter images on the back of the card with details of the class.

Also, if you pick Option 3, would you mind explaining what sort of picture would be better?

I can't put my finger on it, but I'm not particularly drawn to this photo. I think you're moving in the right direction though! And I like the design of #2 better.

Krystal, although I voted for #2, I am not too crazy about the picture. It is cute, don't get me wrong, but something is just not clicking with me about it. So, #2, but with a different photo, in my opinion.
katiebev
I agree with the others--#2 is better, but the photo doesn't wow me. Her expression is great, and I would aim at getting the same goofiness again, but with a better background.

I voted for number 2

Okay, here are some new photo options, including the first so you can see them next to each other....
Jamie Delaine
I like the one with the boy sticking out his tongue!!
Johnny
I like the one with the white background.
But I think it would look better if it were cropped square.

I like this one too, but I'm not sure if I crop it square what to fill the negative space with...I guess I could do 5x5 cards instead....

I agree with everyone else that the green on top and bottom looks best; really gives it a finished look.

I like the silly faces and think that is the direction to go (and do like your solid backgrounds as opposed to the first crib picture) but I think the thing I keep getting stuck on is your title. I mean, I know what you are saying and see where you are going with the slogan, but to me, it's still off - just a bit. The picture doesn't fit with the "great picture" portion that you are trying to tell the moms that they are missing out on. I wouldn't want to see you change out the pictures, so I'm almost wanting to see more of a slogan that plays off of that silliness like "What? Did you miss another shot?" or "What?! Did you miss me being cute again?" ......something like that; with a title that shows that the silly face the child is making IS BECAUSE they missed another great shot.... not that the silly face IS the great shot - which is what confuses me seeing it as is.

Does that make sense? I love the picture, I just think the wording, not the picture is what I'm stuck on from making this perfect.

This is what I was thinking for you.
You could have your "fed up" text on the white portion.
This will then allow the viewer's eye to be drawn to the 'heavier' bottom portion of the card, where the key info is.

What do you think?

How about this?

#2 and #3 for me. They are precious.

Feels too heavy now - I much prefered the block on top and on bottom only (not sides).

I agree about the wording.
Like anything, keep is short and to the point.

Simplicity is key.

How about using your MoMints word in some way?
Like "Catch every MoMint". Or something like "don't miss a MoMint!"

Johnny, you should be charging for this sort of advice. Too Cute! Thanks, and too Tana as well for the explanation!

Would you think it cheesey if I put the phrase in a text bubble so the baby is saying "Mom, Don't Miss another MoMint!" ? Or would that be cute?

I don't think it would fit the theme you have.
