Just curious smile.gif
and how? (plastic bags, umbrellas etc)

(for those without the 1D and higher cams)

thats part of the reason we do shoot with a 1 series smile.gif

but before that we just shot with the rain, wiping it off during a free minute. Use to take the 10d and d30 skiing too, never had problem

Zip lock bag. Cut a hole on bottom of bag and that's what goes over the lens. Zip part is where the lcd screen is for easy maneuvering. Also keep lens hood on for less water spots on lens.

Haha - I just posted about shooting in the rain on my blog.
At my wedding last week, a sweet guy game over and held an umbrella over me.

Not exactly what you are looking for I know, but your post caught my eye! biggrin.gif

Ditto. I take my camera pretty much everywhere. The rain, snowboarding, canoeing, whateva. I should probably be more careful, but then I would absolutely miss some amazing shots.

I don't make a practice of it, but I have. I do it like Rowena does...ziploc bag.

I've done it with my 5D's and it was fine. But I probably wouldn't push my luck on a regular basis smile.gif

We use 5D's and we shoot in the rain and (recently snow) all the time. We use a ziploc bag, but with the opening toward the end of a lens and a rubber band around the lens and the bag. We don't have any problem manuvering the buttons on the back. We're considering a weather sealed camera, but we love our 5D's, so who knows?!?

yep, pouring rain, and often. but then again, i've got two 1D bodies happy.gif

there are some cool weather shields you can buy for fairly cheap that are made of nylon and such.... you can find them on B&H and other places :-)

I just thought I'd supplement with this image, (I didn't take it--found it off the net) but thought it was such a cool picture of pouring rain. If you hover the mouse over the picture there are details to what shutter speed is used to capture the rain drops smile.gif
here is the picture

Ima go play with ziplock and tripod next time rain hits hoo hoo can't wait!

wow and going through this guy's picture, wow he is quite talented!

after THIS wedding - all 4 cameras went to canon.

STILL one of my favorites of all time and worth it to trash a camera or 2.

EDIT: were using 20d's plastic bags, babe

Yep. And snow. I give up long before the camera does thumbsup.gif
