I was at my local Costco's yesterday and they had an in-store deal for the San Disk Ultra II Compact Flash cards, 4 gb for $27. I picked up a handful. Deal is not online. Hope that helps anyone. I remember when I used to have to pay close to $100 for a 2gb, jeez.

I just paid $54 at costco for the exact same card in the middle of december. I wonder if they'll refund me the difference?

hmmm I'll have to take a trip down to my costco today and see if we have that deal here, thanks for the heads up...

Matt, I'm sure they will refund you the difference. We bought a TV there in the fall and got 3 seperate price adjustments over a 90 day period. I love Costcos!

Watch Adorama and B&H. They sold out quick...don't know if they will get any more...I just bought a 4gb Kingston 133x card yesterday and after mail in rebate it will be free. Just pay the shipping. I check www.slickdeals.net daily.

B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/5349..._Elite_Pro.html
Adorama: http://www.adorama.com/KGCF4GEP.html?kbid=62905 - hopefully this means they will track a few more down before the rebate ends on Feb. 8.

You could also do (3) Sandisk Extreme III 8GB for $99x3=$297-$160 rebate=$137 + shipping. It comes out to a little over 46 bucks per.

Of course, we could start that large vs small capacity flash card debate again...but why? tongue.gif happy.gif

Ah, yes....I remember those days well. Really brought me back to how much I spent on the "good" film in college. Funny thing is that was only seven years ago!

I remember when I got a 256MB CF card and it was like 70 dollars. I was on cloud nine LOL. That won't hold crap for us now in our DSLR's.

I remember when I was in school, all we had was Pan-X .Tmax was just starting to be used and it was expensive! But there was always good old 4x5 film, that wasn't expensive at all for a beginner. wacko.gif wink.gif

Oh, how I loved Tmax. smile.gif Absolutely adored it, contrasty as hell, developed it myself at home. And all the 'old-timers'--including all my instructors--hated it!

Of course, when I discovered slide film, I fell for Fuji Velvia too. laughing.gif All that contrast, those fabulous colors...

And the only thing more fun than those two was shooting B/W infrared!

Ah, the good ol' days. Nope....I loved them all, but I like digital a LOT better. And I don't miss smelling like a darkroom!

Will someone explain to me which memory cards are better and why....
