Sigma 200-500mm f2.8Wow. That's big.
I have Sigma lenses and flashes, and think Sigma's motto is "Sigma - you get what you pay for". I've replaced almost all my Sigma gear with Canon stuff.
I can't imagine spending $10K on an off-brand lens.

BLACK! Now we're talking. I think I'll order 2....... no maybe 3. One for the shop, one for everyday home use and one for when I want to do some paparazzi work and not have to leave my car...... 4 blocks from Brittney's house. Sorry I meant 5 blocks.....

a little overkill for a wedding! It looks like weapon, do you have to wear an orange vest when you shoot with it too?

At least there's no recoil. I was pondering holding it RPG-style on my shoulder and using a remote shutter release. With live view to VR goggles, it could actually work.
At 33 pounds, that's the only tripod-less option, methinks.
I just want a 5DMkII. Is that too much to ask? At best, we're looking at August at Photokina.

I love this part from Sigma's press release:
"This lens can be used to create amazing image expression with various types of photography such as astrophotography, portraits, wildlife, sports."
