this was a cool wedding from the Molly Pitcher in Red Bank. We are here like every week. I'm going to make an album of a few weddings for them.

hey john - really nice stuff!

ordinarily mixing the various page styles doesn't work (IMHO) but you really pulled it off!
great job!

wow Thank you
well your alot of the insperation for us
when you say page styles, what do you mean, is it the borders or colors or... something else?
Leon
Hey John!

Overall, I think the album is killer- the clients will love it! biggrin.gif

Constructive feedback in no particular order:

• Try to avoid splitting any body part of the bride or groom in the center. If this album goes to LC and you do split instead of folded, it can produce misaligned gaps due to trimming. (This may depend on your album company.)

• Spread 7 seems forced. In situations like this, I usually bite the bullet and just put one image on each page. Again, consider the wedding is "union" and when this album is in your hands, they are "split." Something anti-Feng Shui about it. wink.gif

• Spreads like #4 are really fun to design and are satisfying to complete. But they have a high potential for looking dated in a few years.

• Similar thought to the extra strokes/borders on spread 9. My eyes are very drawn to the borders. But this is an example of a spread that has a timeless potential.

Bottom line is, does your client love it? I think you've captured the vibe and style of this couple and their family- they are represented well!

Keep up the good work, John and thanks for sharing!

Oh cool
Leon, thanks sooo much. I do use LC for ALL of our albums and sometimes things are a little off.
on Spread 7 I was being cheap. I try for 30ish pages. guess I'll try something else. I also agree about pg 4 I'm really trendy and go for technical abilities too much sometimes vs clean design. My wife Lovina would agree with you.
the client hasn't seen it yet. We don't like to email the design to people we want to show them in studio. I thought I would clean it up before they check it out.

Thank you so much for your honesty
One day I would like to put one of our albums into wppi and all this stuff absolutely helps
Leon
Cool, John!

Well major props to you for putting it out there! That's not always an easy thing to do! One Schrute buck for you.

Keep up the good work, man!

I always love a good Shrute buck. Invaluable if you ask me! wink.gif Spreads 10-13 are my favourites; they just stand out as the ones with the "cleanest" design. Great job.

thanks guys
