WHCC? I just got my Valentine's cards from them, and I am reminded how much I adore their press printed cards.

I actually looked at WHCC's website but couldn't find any information or samples.. I was so bummed! Do you know where I can see sample cards? Also, how big are your cards?

Thanks for your help! smile.gif

For our short-run stuff, we have used psprint.com for many pieces, and have been supremely happy with them. I just ordered 1000 new business cards for $30...they are/were running a special.

For huge quantities, we print through clubflyers.com, which is not as high quality (but not bad either) an are extremely economical. We printed 5,000 4x6 double-sided full color postcards for about $160. Of course, that was nearly a year ago, but we've still got a stack around. They've been great.

For samples from WHCC, you have to order a sample pack, which I believe is $15. I love WHCC and use them for ALL of my prints, but I don't use their press-printed stuff. It's nice, but I pass out quite a bit of material, so a more economical option is better for me.

bleh don't use overnightprints.com! Their stuff is terrible. And they have horrible customer service too.

I use WHCC or 48hourprint.com for my promo stuff. With WHCC I just use the 5x7 flat card. They rule.

For those of you that do your promo pieces through WHCC, are they just photo paper? Or are you using press printed glossy?

I've been using them for years without problem.

UV coated pearl or art linen, depending on the content of the piece. Print through the "press printed products" catalog. But I don't do promo stuff. I have started making thank you cards and keeping track of which card I send to clients for each delivery or "thanks for booking" letter I send out. (My biz is all word-of-mouth, I don't advertise or do shows.)

I have made cards from each kind of paper at WHCC, and love them all. Pearl is awesome, as long as there isn't any white that you need to be crisp white. I just did my valentine's cards on UV coated semi-gloss, and I love them. For our Christmas cards, we did linen. Art watercolor is more "soft" textured. If you show us the promo card, we could help you choose.

Thanks Jules. Hmm, if I showed you my postcard could you give me a suggestion on best way to print? I know you gave me thoughts as to why one of my holiday cards came out looking flat...but it would be great to do it right the FIRST time.hahahaha. I usually don't advertise, but I am trying to get my name out there after we relocated from Denver.

I would recommend finding a local printer (maybe through yellowpages.com) you will be able to get the prints for a lot cheeper that somewhere like overnightprints.com, and usually just as good a quality. The benefits are that you would be able to see, first hand, samples of their print quality and also, be able to pick up the order... shipping can be REALLY expensive when you are doing promo cards because of high volume.

Overnightprints.com rule, local printers don't rule. Local printers cost way to much and give you less prints/cards.

I tried them twice and both times the print quality was terrible.

The two companies I refer my clients to often are:

http://www.printplace.com

http://www.jakprints.com

Both do fabulous work and are very reasonably priced. smile.gif
