So we just launched a new web site and updated our pricing... previously we started at $1750 for 8 hours. We're already at 14 of the 25 weddings we'd like to book for the year and I've had 9 meetings in the last 2 weeks... so we felt like it was time to update. We can live well off of my husbands income, so i'm not trying to provide a living, just help pay off student loans. I'd love some constructive feedback on our site and if you think our pricing structure is valued fairly. Thank you, Thank you!!

I think that in this case what is "fair" is what the market will support. As long as you're making enough to cover your own expenses (and then some) you can raise your prices as long as people are paying it. If you were booking everyone who walked in at your old prices you were probably underpriced.
The one thing I did notice on your site was that you don't require a deposit to hold a date. I think that sounds terribly risky. Why are you doing that?

We dont require a deposit largely because we dont need to take one. We have a clause in our contract that says the signed document itself acts as consideration to enter into the agreement. And our cancellation clause has clients on the hook for 50% of services if they break their contract at any time. We've had it looked over, and it's a perfectly binding agreement, plus it works well for our client base which tends to be younger couples.
