I here some of you didnt receive your DVDs for 3 weeks. Is this still the same now? I have a bridal show on February 17th that I will be featuring a slideshow at. Can showit DVD's loop? What size would I make the show? I will have a LCD TV, maybe I should create it in a widescreen aspect.

Please let my know your experiences and help me decide if I should just use a different company.

bump?

we did a show last weekend and use a laptop connected via a DVI to HDMI cable ($6 at firefold.com) and just ran the show from the laptop in a loop. This allowed me to have the show at a much higher resolution that you can put on a DVD (an HD DVD or Blu-Ray would be a different story).

We just hid the laptop out of sight and it ran all weekend with no problems.

Best of luck

Did you use showit to make the slideshow? If so, what were the dimensions?
If not, what did you use?

Thanks for the advice!

yep, it was a showit show, the TV is a 42" 1080p plasma, which is 1920 x 1080 (I think). I made the show 1800x900 just to keep the whole image inside, but you could make it full width without problem. I then just expanded the browser window and hid it off frame so the address bar didn't show, and hid the showit controls.

It worked pretty well and out of the 30+ photogs there, we had the only "moving" still images

Hi Jamie,
Can I ask you what bridal show you attended and how was your experience. I have been always curious about this shows and if they are worth it.I will appreciate your comments.
