Let me just say it's good to be back.....

Anyway, I just got a wedding booked for August 30 and the bride wants to know if I do video I told her no but I knew people... To this she asked if it would be included in my price. What I'm asking is should I include it in my package as an option and if I get a videographer she wants how much should I up charge for them to be on my contract?

adding a videographer to *your* contract means that if something goes wrong with the videographer...you are the one who gets sued and/or a bad reputation and/or a big freakin' headache.

unless you really really know the videographer, and get a contract with them saying that they are on board and agree to the terms you have with the bride, I wouldn't do it.

i know that some brides are looking for the 2-in-1 package, but oh well. i don't use 2-in-1 shampoo + conditioner, because I want them each to be their best individually. wink.gif

and as a side note:
"Shampoo is better. I go on first and clean the hair. Conditioner is better. I leave the hair silky and smooth. Oh, really, fool? Really."

I agree with jillian, when reading you post i thought 'if something goes wrong it will all be on you' pass on the number and let them decide so the decision is on them.

Don't do it unless you know and trust a videographer. I have two that I've worked with for years, I know they will show up on time and do great work. I only book photo/video packages if they are available, and I do a contract with them (the videographer). I've booked photo/video jobs without having a videographer nailed down, hoping to "find one" before the wedding date, and it was no fun. Yes, I managed to get a good one, but it was alot of work & stress. Better not to wing it.
