Have you ever been sitting at a cofffe shop, waiting to meet a prospective bride and when she doesn't show after 10 minutes, you decide to call and see if she's lost or hasn't seen you yet, only to find out that you sent her a link to the wrong coffee shop (same chain, different location)? That's me right now. ::GROAN:: smashpc.gif

We waited for our wedding photog for half an hour before we called...he'd forgotten. He said he's be there in 30 minutes, we waited 35, and he called to say that why weren't we at Tully's...we were, but he was at the wrong one.

I know that it must be frustrating, but occasionally it goes both ways...so don't give her too much hell!

I've had two clients not even show up. They were actually 2 of the first 3 meetings I had ever scheduled for my business... I couldn't believe how rude it was! Fortunately, things have gone a lot more smoothly since then! smile.gif

I think something to that effect happens to everyone once and a while... we had a meeting one night at the local starbucks for what I thought was supposed to be 7pm, so we hang out till 7:20 or so and decide that the couple isn't coming so we run home and I decide to check my email just to double check the meeting time, turns out it was at 7:30 not 7, so we jump back in the car and rushed back, glad we did they were a super awesome couple!

Not giving her any grief at all--I sent her a link that showed two different coffee shops in the same chain. She went to one and I went to the other. MY FAULT.

That stinks--we've never had a no-show-that would feel really icky. I'm glad things are going well now!

I didn't mind waiting...I just felt bad that it was such a poor start to a client meeting.

We did connect, and we had a great time! She's looking at us and one other photographer seriously, so we just have to wait and see. It sounds like an awesome wedding and she is a sweatheart! I'll keep you posted. smile.gif

LOL. Glad that we all have some similar stories! I will let you all know the outcome--hope with us for the best! smile.gif

Airika, I did a very similar thing this summer.

Me to Bride: I'll meet you at 10 at the Starbucks outside the mall.

Bride: okay.

I waited there for 45 minutes, no show and I only had her home number not a cell.

Fast forward to later that day when she emails me and says she went to the Starbucks INSIDE the mall and waited for me for 45.

Ooops

Been there, I drove to a location about a half hour away, to a city I had NEVER been. I was scared, in a parking lot, alone with no one around. I called and called, and after 20 minutes she finally picked up her phone, said she was running "5 minutes behind, she was a few blocks away"
40 minutes pass, as I'm going reverse exiting the parking lot, my phone rings.
She was pulling in, as I was pulling out. We had the session but boy was I grumpy waiting there.

Oh and it was 95 degree weather! mad.gif

I've done that, but I sent her the link to the coffee shop that I showed up at...She assumed it was the one she had in mind, and showed up at a coffee shop a miledown the road (same chain..) ha!

Wow, THAT would be so discouraging! Props to you for staying with it!
