Hi All,

I am shooting with a 5d and 580ex flash and want to get a Quantum battery pack. I'm not sure what the differences are in the different models, so any help and/or advice on which way to go would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would check out http://www.qtm.com/ and click on "find products" and then "compare products" on the pop up list. I would definitely go with the Turbo Products. I have the Quantum 2x2 which is I think the largest, but it recharges so fast and lasts forever. It really depends on what you are looking for. Good luck!

Hey Stacey! Just wanted to give a heads up. I also have the 5d and 580 ex flash and last year I purchased the quantum turbo compact battery that screws into the bottom of your camera body. I shot a bridal shower with it and I got these weird lines on all my pictures that I used flash on. I called canon and they had no idea, so I called Quantum and the guy new right away what it was and said that the battery I had purchased for some reason only does that on the 5d's, something to do with the battery being right up next to the camera, it interferes with something electrical. I was bummed and just ended up buying powerex rechargeable batteries for my flash cuase I didnt want to be attached to a cord. Hope that helps, somewhat. biggrin.gif
