Not because of presents or anything...but just because I got to spend quality time with my parents...I finally got some snaps of my parents with their dogs...just like how I remember them...I would love to get a "family portrait" of all of us, but it's not "them"...

I've come to the age where i really appreciate my parents, for who they are...where they come from...what they believe...

I go to them for advice...granted I might ot always take it, and still have to learn things the hard way...but moving away from them was the best thing that I could have done, because it makes me appreciate them so much more...

Love the ones you've got...Tell your family you love them...hug them...

I cherish the moments I get with my parents...I pray to God I won't lose them any time soon...but you never know...

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. My mom and dad are in AZ, so I didn't get to see them. We did celebrate with my husbands parents. I was really cherishing family this year too. When I met my husband, I thought it was corney that my father in law played the acordian. I laughed to myself about it. Now, it I think it is neat... not too many poeple play, and it is something that makes them unique. So, when they got out the acordian, I couldn't help but look at it as a special cherished time with family, and try to capture that! (I think some of my nieces and nephews still think it is kind of goofy!)
