Full Version: confused by order total at WHCC

I have a simple question, I think... Many of you use WHCC, so hopefully you can help me understand this. I have just prepared my first client order to be fulfilled through WHCC. It is a very small order, only 2 4x6s and 2 5x7s. So the total print price should be $3.60. However, they (ROES) have listed my total as $12. I can't find where they are charging any tax (and if they are, $8.40 is a LOT of tax!!), so I'm wondering if there is a minimum order amount? I don't recall seeing this anywhere, but I could have missed it.

If there IS a minimum order amount, then what do you guys do when you have only one small order to place that is UNDER the minimum? Do you hang on to it until you get another order to pair it with? Obviously, if you don't get another order soon, you don't want to make your client wait.... That seems ridiculous. smile.gif

There is a $12 minimum...as for the other question. I don't know but someone else will!

If you place an order for products totaling below the minimum order amount ($12.00) you will simply be charged the minimum order amount.

If you use Print Fulfillment ROES, you can make orders for specific products that can total under $12.00, but there is a nominal shipping fee. I use this all the time if I just need one set of wallets or something like that ASAP.

You can launch PF ROES by selecting "Print Fulfillment" from the main products list on the left hand side of ROES.

Enjoy!

Carrie and Trevor, thank you! I suspected as much....I will check out print fulfillment. smile.gif

I'd order a print for myself...I do one print from each portrait job I do, and my walls are quickly filling up..makes great inspiration when I'm editing!

Ah....good idea! If only I had somewhere to hang or otherwise display them.... I'll keep it in mind for the future. smile.gif

WHCC does include free 2 day usp shipping... so thats probably why there is a minimum.

quite true!

Yup ! 12 bucks is the minimum. Take advantage of a small order like that and either surprise your client with a bigger print or maybe even some of their textured paper to add or get close to the $12. Or, get a print for yourself that you can frame later.

WHCC rocks !!!!

If we have a small order, we just wait until we have other orders before we place the order. We are busy enough that we have orders coming in most days, so this isn't a problem for us.

In addition to the other good suggestions here, I'll add mine--I have a folder of pics of my kids and family stuff that I choose from to fill up the rest of the minimum. In the past, I've been the worst about taking a million family pics of my kids, but never getting around to printing them. This allows me to kill 2 birds with one stone, and I'm gradually getting caught up on having prints of my own family and kids.

Also, if the order is only one size, make sure to take advantage of the thrifty proofing. The price is a fraction of what it is for an order of mixed sizes, and I've been able to get a ton of family prints that way (all 4x6 or 5x7).

I do this too- with our wedding pictures from 2 years ago! Our families keep complaining about never getting any pictures, so this way, I'm catching up. And, sometimes I get a fun picture of our dog, Lucy, printed, just for fun... you never know who needs a picture of our funny dog. laughing.gif

i use the proofing all the time for 5x7s, 4x6s, and usually i try to get stuff done for me too or the studio. its like getting something for free that your clients are ordering. It helps me to have a folder labeled 5x7s and as the orders come in i just add them into the folder. that way i have tons of orders in that one file.

i usually then will do off another order for the larger prints. wallets usually can make your min order. The only time it stinks is when i dont have enough and arent on top of it with other pictures, otherwise it works great.

this is totally what i do. i have a folder that sits on my desktop of images to print. thye might be for a neighbor, my church, family or even me. Things that don't have a rush. Sometimes I'll pull my favorite from a wedding even a year or so ago and send it to that client with a thank you.
