Just noticed last night that a lot of you guys are using Twitter. I've been on for a couple of months and have found some cool ways to use it.
1. Facebook Updater. Install the Twitter widget on FB and you can have Twitter update your Facebook Profile Status automatically. You can even go in reverse by updating Twitter from Facebook. If you update a lot on Twitter it keeps your Facebook name coming up a good bit in your friends' news feed.
2. Twitter Balloon for your Blog. This puts a Twitter quote balloon thingy on your blog right above a head shot so it shows what you're doing automatically. My friend Jose has one, ThinkJose. Scroll down, it's on the right side. Here's the link to make your own Twitter Balloon.
3. Twitter Mobile. Use "m.twitter.com" from your mobile phone to see your Twitter home without all of the heavy graphics. You can text your Twitter updates to 40404 after you've authorized your phone with Twitter.
4. Find your contacts who are using Twitter. If you use gmail or yahoo or one of the big ones you can have Twitter find anybody on your list who uses it.
5. Get news. You can search for keywords on Twitter like your hometown to find anybody around you using it. I like twitter.com/strangenews who put out crazy nes articles. Most of the major news outlets have Twitters. For web techy guys, Scoble has a great link tweet, www.twitter.com/scobleslinkblog.
