Is there a good sharpen setting in Lightroom that is equivalent to the standard defog setting in PS? Would be nice to skip this step in PS and have it done automatically upon Lightroom input.

Use the clarity slider. Slide it up as high as you can, until you start to see halos, then pull it back a bit.
