somewhere over the last couple days my little fingers have messed up my photoshop screen layout.

it use to open up in full screen mode with actions/history in one column, with the additional column on the left with all the actions. i like editing in full screen mode and not see any other distractions.

but now it just opens up the image in it's own window and I can see whatever is on my desktop... then have to manually (with EACH image) go into
View- Screen Mode- Full Screen Mode.
(then scream)

I have tried saving my work area as well as trying various other things and I just can't get it to stay in full screen mode. getting annoyed over here smashpc.gif

please oh please, somebody has gotta know how to fix this!

hug.gif hugs in advance!!

I think it should save the screen mode...that's weird. Maybe set it back to default and then move everything to where you want it with settings and windows and all and try saving a new workspace. If this doesn't work, I'm not sure, but someone here is bound to know what you need to do other than reinstalling PS.

Remember, F is the keyboard shortcut to cycle through screen modes.

Best of luck to you with getting it back the way you like.

I don't have CS3, but my friend does. I'll see if I can remember right from when I was at her house. On the bottom of the tool palet (I think... something on the left side of the screen) there are little boxes. I think it is below your color swatches yet. Try hitting a few of those little boxes. I think they are different layout options. Hope you get it fixed!
