have you ever seen the movie “Punch Drunk Love”?
Well, one of my favorite scenes from that movie is when Adam Sandlers Character tries calling the women he loves from a pay phone. After many frustrating failures at contacting her she finally answers. When she says “hello?” the lights on the top of the pay phone come on. It’s a great moment. Anyway for a class assignment I had the idea to kind of play off of that. I original used I friend of mine one night, and let’s just say it didn’t come out good. (not fault of hers) Some one night the lights popped on and I asked my roommate (dude in the photo) to help me out real quick. So, this was the out come. I got an “A+”!
By the way, the assignment was called “emotion”.

I really like this - great concept, and I love the sharpness of hte picture, and that nervous-movement of the leg as he's waiting, and trying to do it. Did you tell him to kick his leg like that, or was that improv on his part? It came out well and adds to the shot.

He just started doing it when waiting for me to set up, and he stopped after the first couple of exposures. I told him to keep doing it because I always like motion blur. So to answer your question it was both.I didn't think they did, but it's right by my house. (...and I see people use it all the time!, ...with cell phones on their hip!)

Hmmmm.... cell phones on their hip using a pay phone.... that sounds like they are making calls that they don't want traced! (Can you tell I watch too much CSI?)
