Thanks to all your wonderful insight, I bought my first L glass. Well, I should say my first two. I couldn't decide so I bought both. Double Canon rebates and all.

Gots me the 24-70mm 2.8 and 70-200 4L IS.

I hope there is not to much of a learning curve with the 24-70 cuz I have a Christmas portrait shoot next week. ( I have only shot with 17-85 IS and 50mm 1.8) Oooh should be interesting!!

To avoid frustration with the 24-70, always remember to zoom, then focus. The focus changes as you zoom the 24-70.
