Am I the only photographer that HATES having her picture taken?? I have been wanting to take DJ's advice to get a pic of me on my site for eons, but was dreading the whole undertaking. I decided that I MUST be wearing one of my seventy billion wedding dresses that I obsessively buy for TTD sessions. Out of a ton of pics that my friend Kathy graciously took, we both liked this one, except I think I look stoned or something in it, because my eyes look really tired. I guess that's a residual effect of the Mono. So, here's the keeper...too serious for a website???

Thanks Kerri, and lol, Yes, I currently own 5 wedding dresses, and I think I try them on more than anyone. I just HAVE to twirl in them!

You are definitely not the only one who hates getting their photo taken. I was thinking I should have asked someone at our last OSP get together to take one of me. I used to not be bothered by it, who knows what changed so much.

Awww, thanks so much everyone. I'm surprised I don't have goose bumps in the photos, it was only 31 degrees when we took these, hehe, that's what I get for procrastinating.

I HATE having my pic taken as well... on my bio on my website, I have one that Barb Uil took where my head is chopped off - love it, so I used it! lololololol!!!!

I have issues with people thinking I am younger than I am, and it is getting annoying because some dads come to my studio and give me the hairy eyeball as if he doesn't know whether he should let me handle his newborn or not *sigh*

I think MOST photographers hate having their own portraits taken, that's why we are BEHIND the camera. I think I have maybe 5 shots of me...over the course of the last 25 years.

And no, you aren't the only one who hates getting photos...I really hate it. Thankfully Misty Dawn was able to get this one pic of me (my avatar) that I am happy with. And note, I haven't changed my avatar or website pic since. LOL

EDIT: Oh, and you're being way too critical about the eyes. They're beautiful. (But I totally "get" that because I would be too critical too.)

I'll hop on the "I like it" bandwagon. But I think the only thing about your eyes (in the picture) is that one iris is darker than the other. Maybe you can play with that to even them out.

I personally agree that it says artsy to me. And in all honesty, I did not even notice it was a wedding dress until I read that it was one. I thought it was a fun flowing summer dress and the pose, the mood and the look screams Tori Amos to me- very artsy and mystical I really love it- I need to get myself a "flowy" with a bit of edge portrait- I just love yours!

Autumn, for a split second I though your reply said it looks "cute and a bit EASY", rofl!! I don't know what brand the dress is, actually, I got it at a sample sale, and the tag was missing. It only cost me about $50!

Tawnya, thank you! We took this one, and a few others right in front of my friends house. She lives on a busy road and people kept honking like I was just married or something, it was funny.
