Hi everyone. My name is Cary. I live in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
I was from Santa Barbara until about 10 months ago. I used to
work for Samy's Camera in the rental department, and used to
attend Calvary Chapel in SB. Shout out to Ricky Ryan!
My wife is from Los Alamos, NM which is how I got here. I am
still acclimating to the lack of ocean and lack of Del Taco.
I can't say I'm happy here but it's better than not being with my family.
I attended the Colorado Institute of Art and Brooks Institute. I have
concentrated mostly on stock photography but am now considering
weddings and portraits.
I will probably listen more than contribute for now to this cool little chunk of
friends and information on the internet. It's good to know you're here.

NO WAY!!! It's so great to have you here and you were always the most helpful person at Samy's!!! You probably got so sick of me coming in and asking you question after question about the lenses and cameras I'd rent before I could buy them! Seriously Cary taught me more than anybody about gear and lighting and I am so unbelieveably stoked that you found OSP!

...BTW... how did you find this place!

Hey David,
Good to talk to you again. No I never got sick of talking to you.
I always appreciated helping a bro out.
I was actually going through my wedding/portrait bookmarks
(I had to manually transfer all my bookmarks - one by one
from Exploder to Safari because Safari won't automatically
transfer them. I have a lot of bookmarks.)
and clicked on Lumiere and while on their site I saw your link
and had to come see what was new. And here we are.
I spent most of last night reading various threads and enjoying
everyones (well I didn't get to everyones yet) websites and slideshows.
There is some great work represented here. It's also nice to
be amongst those of like mind..... and interest.

Hey Cary! It's great to hear from you -- it's kind of making me nostalgic for SB...

How's good old Los Alamos? Any trips to Bandelier yet? I think the last time I was there I was a bit disappointed at how skewed my reality was as a kid. If you're ever back in the area and happen to be up in SLO, give us a call -- we'd love to get together. We're definitely missing Calvary & Ricky, but think we are making good progress on finding a new church.

I LOVE NEW MEXICO!!! I am from Las Cruces, SOUTHSIDE. I moved to Phoenix about 5 months ago. New Mexico has the best skies ever. You better post up some great sunsets, I know you got em. Glad you are here.
