Full Version: Adobe released Camera Raw 4.3 update

Here's the mac download

Now if Nikon would just make some cameras available I can do my happy dance. Nikon has the D3 manual available on their site, but I can't seem to make the download work. Not an hour goes by that I don't check my mail to see if B&H has the camera. (Probably wasting my time doing that.)

I'm still in a bit of shock that Adobe released the raw update before the camera was out. Yay Adobe!

EDIT: Uh, little shocked too now that I read closer that it's not compatible with CS2. So this means that in order to shoot raw with a D3, I'm going to need to upgrade my home mac to CS3. Ugh. Wasn't planning on that expense right now.

Or you can use Lightroom (v1.3) - I can read D3 raw files I've found on the net.

And I am sure that Adobe will update their DNG converter to convert D3/D300 files to DNG. That way, you won't have to upgrade to CS3 right away (hopefully).

BTW - I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY D3!!!!!!!!!!! w00t.gif

(forgot to mention that I downloaded the manual today - have no time to read all 400+ pages though!)

When do you think the D3's will begin shipping?

According to Nikon (what I've read on the web) - the week of the 30th should be the happy week!

D300's are being shipped to stores right now from what I hear.
