Hey everyone...

Just trying to figure a few things out here... I have recently purchased an iMac 24". I looove this thing, BUT have found a flaw in the display. umbrella.gif It seems the left part of my screen is cooler in color temp than the middle of my screen. The middle is a yellowish/brown tone, while the left of my screen shows a more cooler tone. I have read many boards that state other iMac 24" (and some 20") owners are having the same issues!!! Some people have even exchanged their iMac up to 3 times and the problem still exists!!! Any owners here having any probs? I notice that when I calibrate, the problem becomes more apparent. This is really frustrating! I called Apple and the rep stated that she has dealt with this problem maybe 1 out of every 100 calls. Um, ??? I have no idea how many calls she takes a day, week, month, or year but uh, seems to me that if I'm not the only person calling about it, then it IS a problem and they need to fix it. She had NO answers for me other than to clear out my display cache and use the iMac profile and go from there. Now in doing so, my display looks a TAD bit less yellow in the middle.. but nevertheless, when I open an image up and move it around my screen, there are different color grades/temps. across my screen. Although the difference is very subtle, I see it. That can't be good... nor do I find it acceptable. I need my edits to be spot on! I'm thrown by this display defect/oversight. Apple is usually so well known for their graphic/photo capabilities. I'm curious to see if anyone else has this issue or knows of a fix?? Apple sure doesn't.

What system do you guys use for your PP work? Displays/monitor? I'm really trying to figure out what to do next. I need an accurate monitor for my edits.. so any and all input would be fantastic!
