In prepping for tomorrow's wedding I noticed 2 big nasty pieces of trash on my 85 1.2

So out comes the rocket blower but only one blew away..... So I looked closely and its just under the back element....right in the middle of the lens.

How the heck does that happen? What am I supposed to do?

have you shot with it yet, usually you can't see spots on your lens in the picture...

give it to me, (and i will exchange it with my 85 1.8) and you'll never find out until its too late......

i would take some shots first and see if they show up.

yeah... I've had the lens for not quite 3 months, so its been used. I guess I'll have to shoot some tests to see if it is visible... I thought L lenses were supposed to be sealed?

This is going to sound stupid, but I remember renting a lens some time ago and it was an L series lens and there was this huge piece of gunk the same as what you've got going on. I called the rental place and the guy said bang it against your hand, just tap it and it should slide out of the way. That sounded so lame..... It worked. Even if it works, I'd take it back to the store after and get it taken care of.
