i just booked my first wedding, with a deposit, signed contract, the whole shibang! so stoked!!!!

anyways, i am going to drop a chunk of my money on a new lens, but i am thinking about buying some cf cards, too. right now i just have 1 4gb and 1 1gb card (the bottom of the line brand that they offer at sammys).

i am just curious, how much should i spend (and how much should i NOT spend) on cf cards? if i plan on shooting raw, with my 30d, and maybe getting like 2k-3k images per wedding (<--- totally ballpark figures... i'm new), what should i get? brand? size? quantity? speed?

i feel like this question is way too long for the content. anyways, thanks for your insight.

I'd say stick with the cheapest 4GB cards. Your flash will take longer to recycle than the camera will take to transfer the data plus the data is buffered anyway. Just get 4x 4GB cards to be on the safe side.

They have SanDisk 4 gigs for $75 right now at B and H with a $30 mail in rebate. If you are a Day after thanksgiving shopper, they will have SanDisk 2 gig for $15 at Staples. I take about 25 G of cards to a wedding, and use about 18.

$25.50 for 4GB

I'm not a sport shooter so I don't need speed.
