I must say that I didn't like the Lightsphere Dome, the lighting was OK, but I got better results without it!!!! However the LS2PJ is much better, and looks more professional! The lighting creates wonderful photographs indoors or outdoors. The shadows are very soft indoors, even when subjects are close to a wall. The tests i did with both Lightspheres clearly indicated the new LS2PJ as the winner!!!! The cool thing about the LS2PJ is that I can still bounce flash!

Yeah I haven't used mine that much yet, but I really like mine. I keep wanting to do some tests to compare it, but heck Fong already did that, so I will just take his (and your word) for it.

I'm really liking it. I used the old one today shooting a senior, and it just wasn't the same. I know, it should have worked better outside, but, you know, the PJ one works better. If you have enough light.

And what's up with the 42-degree weather. That was the shortest outdoor senior shoot I've ever done. 10 minutes! It was COLD!

Would you say that it's worth the cost? Any specific shots that you have posted?

I have both. With low ceilings, I'm still partial to the original LS (with the dome attached)...

Wow, my daughter is 15 months old. Hard to remember when she was that small (and it wasn't that long ago!!)

I had a session last week where I photographed over 50 kids at a daycare. I shot all of them using the Mark IIn a 70 - 200 2.8 lens and the LS2PJ. Shooting in the RAW of course. If you would like to see it's at Pictage under St. Matthias PALS. I think you can just type in PALS to get there. I really like the photographs I get outdoors. My Dome is going on ebay never to be seen again!
