Hi!

For those of you who use Bridge do you find yourself using Lightroom too? Since they are similar do you really need both? My Lightroom trial is going to expire soon and I'm thinking of getting CS3 and Bridge. Will I need Lightroom?

I don't use Bridge, but I think you can expect Adobe to really push Lightroom (to photographers) at the expense of Bridge - precisely because it's a separate product.

I think of Lightroom as a front end for CS3. The Library module helps you rate pictures, apply metadata and organize very quickly. Choose between similar shots - compare. The develop module is essentially Camera Raw. So if you are using raw, use Lightroom. If you still need to make pixel changes use CS3 from within Lightroom. Another plus for Lighroom is the use of presets. Very fast.

Not perfect but very fast. So for events - Lightroom is very fast for first cut.

Essential - no. Helpful for large shoot - absolutely !!
