I am most excited about being able to access my macs from anywhere. Like if I shoot an out of town wedding I can go ahead and upload my files to my office computer. Or if i'm out of town working and want to make a slideshow, I can access all of my music files from my office computer. This is gonna rock!

mine's on the truck out for delivery. should be here by noon or so. i won't be loading it on my G5 yet due to concerns about immediate software compatability with the adobe creative suite and lightroom... i just have too much tied up in those programs right now to not be able to process jobs before they are updated to full compatability.
but yeah... i'm super-excited! i'll be loading leopard on my macbook pro and mac mini as soon as fedex shows up!

Please let us know if there is a compatibility prob with Lightroom. That isn't even something I thought about. I watched the tutorial on Leopard this morning, and I totally get why people are so excited about it. The new Back to Mac feature is awesome. Also, Stacks and Time Machine looks insame! I don't really understand how Time Machine can recover any file you've ever deleted. I guess it just compresses the old files really tight or something.

It saves them to an external hard drive. If will keep backups for as long as you have drive space.

Spotlight is still indexing our 4 TB file server.
Leopard jacked up some of the drives and I had to fix them with Diskwarrior on our other workstation (a G5).
We bought the family pack but I plan to only upgrade our Mac Pro and Powerbook. The G5 will stay Tiger until we've verified everything is cundelá.

Works great! You can tell there's some minor little bugs (I've experienced some odd hiccups in the Finder), but overall I think I like it a lot!

I'm in the midst of an Archive and Install. The "Upgrade" option didn't work well. I've had to manually power down more times in the last two days than I ever had combined over my years of Mac ownership.
No big deal, it probably would have been like this regardless of when I upgraded!

I installed Leopard on my Quad G5 lastnight, and it's running flawlessly! The only problem I've had so far is that Firefox won't open due to a flashgot compatability error.... lame.... and i can't uninstall flashgot without opening firefox as far as I know.
LR and PS run PERFECTLY and faster than ever! Apple has done it again with another great operating system!

I haven't found any issues yet with either of my machines. Everything is working flawlessly. I haven't really noticed a speed difference at all. Seems to be about the same to me. This feature of being able to access my workstation via 'back to my mac' works as advertised. It's really cool to be able to take control of my workstation while I'm away!

I love my Leopard ... Spaces is my favorite, but I haven't really played with a lot of stuff.
My only bummer ... For some reason I can't uploaded pictures to my bludomain site. Can't figure out what's going on, but hopefully it will get resolved, so I can have my proofing section working for clients. Does anyone else have both Leopard and use Bludomain?

YES! I'm having Blu issues with Leopard as well. Not a HUGE deal for the moment but it will be if this isn't resolved fairly quickly.

Just make sure you have backups. My upgrade from 10.4 froze four times. I eventually was able to do a clean install on one of my other drives, but I had to move all of my mail/calendars/apps over manually. Not sure why it could not handle the upgrade on my machine. So much for a 30 minute upgrade.

Glad to hear it's going more smoothly for everyone else.

Upgraded to the new OSX on my Dual 2.7 GHz PowerPC G5 with 4.5 GB of RAM and it works like a charm... doing the MacBook Pro next.
I think clients will gladly forward the new html formatted emails we send to let them know their pictures are online
This was my first one from yesterday's engagement session... created in 30 secs, dragged the images directly from my blog:

Backups are key. We had one laying around so I blasted through with the "Upgrade" option over the "Archive and Install" version. It didn't go so well, so I reinstalled with the latter and it seems to be much less prone to Finder freezes, etc.
If we had to restore I'm confident that it would have been fine, though it certainly would have been lame!

Can anyone tell me if the Mail.app still handles all attachments as in-line mime data or does it give you the option of NOT displaying that 19MB TIFF in the middle of a paragraph?
Honestly, that is the ONLY reason I still don't use Mail.app. I love everything else about it.
