So last week I posted about how nervous I was about the family of nine. THANK you to all for your tips and examples. We did some shots of everyone together and then also some individual family shots and miscellaneous portraits. I am pretty happy with how these turned out. Any c&c welcome! (what do you seriously think about the first one?..it's a little "iffy" to me)

The four siblings

Two senior portraits

The CUTEST kid with his grandparents

Cute couple...baby due in January

Playing in some leaves

Tackling his mom with a HUGE SMOOCH!

Thanks for looking...

I like the first photo and the one of the daddy kissing the mommy's belly against the tree. smile.gif

Amazing stuff. I love the intimacy of the pictures. Also, I love the color palette! Great job (and now you know that all the nervousness paid off!)

Nice work on those. I LOVE the last one. Great timing smile.gif

Thanks so much Sarah! Yeah, the leaves are great here, but in a couple months all will turn to gray and mud and snow...uugh that's the tradeoff I guess!

Good work! I like the first one just fine. The B/W of the boy in the leaves is my favorite. smile.gif

Funny about the 'big group', seems like they were trying to kill a bunch of birds with one stone by having you do family/maternity /senior portraits all at the same session.... I have one of those coming up on Saturday. On the one hand it's sort of a 'bargain shopper' thing to do, but on the other hand if they love your work you'll have a newborn session coming up soon. wink.gif

Aww yay! I'm glad the shoot went so well for you!
These turned out wonderful! They must be very happy!

If you remember... the day I posted to that thread, I was about to leave for a session with 8 homecoming kids. My session didn't go so great sad.gif

We had a HUGE windstorm blow through during the shoot, and everyone showed up late so I only had about 35 minutes to shoot all 8 kids (and they wanted groups, couples AND individuals!!) But the worst part was... all the parents showed up with their own cameras and were taking pics all around me!! Totally distracting the kids!!!

But I did get a few really nice shots out of it (on my blog if you wanna take a look), and everyone seems happy. It's just hard to let go when you know things could have been better...

But anyway!!! Don't mean to de-rail!
Looks like you did an awesome job and now you won't be so nervous next time! Way to go!

Oh my gosh...I know! But I knew what I was getting into with this and I didn't mind the different shots--I'm just starting up so if I make more people happy, the word will be spread about me more quickly! I hope I do get a newborn out of it!

Thanks Jennifer! Oh my gosh a shoot like yours would have driven me INSANE! Especially about the parents...uuggh but that's to be expected I guess with highschoolers at homecoming... Good to get that one overwith! I'm off to check yours out right now!

These are really stunning. Your colors are through the roof awesome. You seem to have caught everyones expressions very very well. Next time don't be nervous its obvious you know what your doing wink.gif. Keep rockin!

You did a great job capturing their true emotions. Sometime it's hard, especially when you're nervous, to do the photo shoot and not have them appear really posed in the shots. They'll be super happy with them!
JenLeePhotography
great job! I had read the post about your nerves prior to this shoot..but I think you handled it all quite well!
I like the last two especially!!

Those look great. Those are Grandparents?...wow huh.gif
