smashpc.gif Does anyone know how to add pictures to your email signature? Is there a program I can get? I really want a banner of pics across the top of the emails that I send out. Any suggestions are welcome!

Pam,

Hmm... Are you suggesting that you would like to send out an email with pictures embedded? Do you understand the trade off of advertising your imagery with "banner" ads in your email versus upset friends, family and clients by getting emails that are large?

If you do, then my suggestion would be to turn on HTML in your email. I am on a MAC and use Entourage so it is super easy. I guess the best suggestion would be to tell us what email package/software you are currently using.

Now for my advice. If you really want to do this, maybe just use it for specific types of emails such as promotions of news or events and not for the "Hey Sally lets grab a beer at the bowling alley tonight."

Just my thought.

I am begging you not to do this.

I'd rather have "boring" and concice emails that don't block up my sever than pretty or exciting ones with images and garbage attached.

It truly aggravates me to get emails with a bunch of crap attached - it either makes my email take forever to download, or it gets the email filtered as spam for having attachments.

Stick with "boring" and fast. Your clients, friends, and family will love you for it.

Hey! Tell me how you really feel! JK Heehee laughing.gif

I wanted to use it for newsletters. One of the Pictage Speakers at conference talked about it and said, "Never send out anything including emails without photos on it." I do have a very boring email, but.....I will think about it....never really thought about time to download because I have fiber optics. ........thinking.......hmmmm.....

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

For newsletters I really like the the html email or PDF. I think the point is to know your client base, don't send out large emails all of the time, and provide an opt-out method each time you send a newsletter.

Then again, if your clients all have high-speed internet, what about using Jing?

you have to be very careful adding html to your emails. If you don't do it just right it will end up in everyone's spam folder faster than you can hit send.

I think there's a differnce between sending out a once in a while newsletter w/ html and setting all your regular emails to have images in them.

There are a lot of sites you can use to send newsletter type emails - Constant Contact is one of them that I've used in the past and had good luck with.
