Hey there! I'm reposting this now that I have this baby back from Apple and could take pics of it smile.gif

It's pretty much a BRAND NEW computer on the inside! New Hard Drive, New Logic Board, New Operating System.

The only reason two of these are going up for sale is it's costing me an arm & leg to keep organized and software updated for so many different computers. And quite frankly, I no longer need this many! So I'll be selling a few of them and trading in for one smaller one (easier to travel with).

FOR SALE: 17" G4 Powerbook 1.67ghz with MAXED out RAM (2 gb!)

Here is a screenshot of the original receipt from 8/05. This baby is so maxed out they had to build it special and ship it from Japan!

- It's still under warranty (Apple Care plan transferable to you) - Good through August 9, 2008
- It just got a BRAND NEW Hard Drive from Apple
- Also got a BRAND NEW Logic Board, Audio Ports, Speakers too!
- Restored to original factory settings
- I'll install iWorks '08 for you and the BRAND NEW OPERATING SYSTEM (Leopard due out this week!) if you'd like before we ship it. You give us your registration info and the computer will be ready for YOU when you get it.
- I have an extra Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom copy I may be selling as well at a discount if you're interested

As you can see, it's original value is well over $4200 with the software I'm including and it's gotten some good use but it's basically a brand new computer after the new hard drive, OS, Logic Board, etc. The major flaw on the casing is shown in the picture below... it got bent in Brazil last year but it has no effect other than the appearance. Minor scratches on the bottom of the computer as to be expected. Screen and keyboard in perfect condition.

We're including the original manual and startup disks, power cord with adapter, and an extra battery. You'll get all the paperwork that shows that it has a new Hard Drive and Logic Board, etc.

Selling for $1400 OBO (OR best Offer). Post up here or email me if you're interested : liana at lianalehman.com . We take CC, Paypal, or personal checks. Will ship it free via tracked and insured in the box that apple sent it to me in after "makeover"

Looks great! Seriously thinking about it. How well does it work with Lightroom? I have an older (and much slower 15" PB) that I really want to replace so I can use lightroom. I have a 24" imac that I love but it's hard to keep dragging that thing to the coffee shop to do some editing! -jk btw

Liana, my dear! You're killing me! I keep telling Jason "hopefully she sold it so it wasn't meant to be for me to purchase it right now...." He keeps telling me that I shouldn't, but if I shouldn't, then why do I keep thinking about it??? Darn!

Will someone please buy this?!?!?!

Have a few people Seriously interested.

Worked fine with Lightroom before for us.

Beth - aren't you the MAC genious? Methought you'd have TONS of Macs already!! LOL.

This IS my Baby. If it wasn't 17" I'd be all about keeping her. She's just too big for me to tote to foreign countries and all over the US. Or perhaps I just need to pump some more iron ....

Why, yes....well, not sure about "genius", but guru-ette is what they call me at work. LOL Which leads me to why I want another. My 17" powerbook is my full time job's laptop. So it would be really nice to upgrade to a 17" at home, because working on a 17 all day and then going home to edit on a 15 hurts. wacko.gif

Sent ya a PM recently...wondering if your "serious folk" bit and bought the G4? smile.gif
If not I might be interested...let me check with my Mac Guru and see what they think?
Thanks!
