i was trying some of the actions i just bought and a dialog box jumped up that says the select tool is currently unavailable. does anyone know how to fix that? it's popped up in a few different actions so i would like to fix it. thanks for any insight you might have!

I am going to guess that you are using action pack2 and that you have CS? I think there are some compatibility issues. It did this to me a lot until I upgraded to CS2

That sometimes happens when you run certain actions on 16 Bits/Channel mode images. Try changing it to 8 Bits/Channel in photoshop and run that same action.

i get that if i hvent flattened layers - but this is on some actions, not all. the action needs to be on the main/background layer

i am using cs2, the layers are flattened and the images are 8-bit and it hasn't changed.

Isn't there a tool set that you're supposed to load as well as the actions?

Did you place the tool called KPD Tool Presets (a .tpl file) into the Tools folder of your CS2 app folder?

And then load the tool preset into the Tool palette?
