I have no idea. It usually says "instant rebate" or "exclusive B&H rebate" if it's a sale. But it doesn't have any of that on there. Like it's the regular price. But it's not made public yet since the search on the site is revealing higher older prices. Who knows.

Where are you seeing those prices? I've been watching B&H as I'll be spending a LOT of money with them tomorrow. I'm still seeing the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS for $1574 instead of $1474. I'll also be purchasing the 24-70 f/2.8 L, but the price I'm seeing is $1059 instead of the $984 you're seeing. The rebates are instant, so the prices they show are the final prices, correct? Am I missing some other rebate?

EDIT: Ok, my post crossed yours, Rich. Interesting! I tried adding the lenses at those links to the shopping cart even and they're the prices you listed. Oohh, that makes me a happy camper!!

Seems to be related to the PhotoPlus Expo that took place over the weekend.

Notice all the item numbers start with PPE07. Some special deal probably given only to people that went to the event and talked to the right person. B&H is pretty close to the Javits center, so I'm sure there were some big crowds on sunday.

No 16-35 though, bummer.

My thoughts exactly. If it was, it would soften the blow for what I recently paid for the 580EX II and the 70-200.

Rich-Are you sure you can't whip out a magic link for the pretty little wide angle zoom? laughing.gif

Thanks for posting these anyway!

Amazon has the 5D for $2199.

I just read on DP review that they are stacking the PPE07 coupon and the instant rebate at B+H

These prices are about the same as the prices after rebates from last year so I can't see it getting much better for these lenses. Also, I don't know if they will put much rebate on the 5D given the recent price drop. I bet they are selling out thier existing inventory to make room for the new one.

Yeah, B&H has it for the same price. A good price, but I was really hoping for the double rebate, so it's not AS good as I was expecting. Either way, I'm buying tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

Sweet! Thanks for the post Rich. Anyone know when the PPE07 coupons expire?

Love it! Thanks for sharing this! I need a couple and the savings is worth it! (Only wish I knew BEFORE I bought the 580 for +++$$$!) wink.gif

Rich, you've totally made my day. I did a little more research and on DP Review someone said that if you search on B&H's website for "PPE07*" it'll show everything they have the additional coupons for. They DO have the 5D listed - for an additional $50 off = $2149. Not a TON, but hey, $50 is $50. I'll take it. It's been said before, and I'll say it again ... I LOVE OSP. You guys just saved me an ADDITIONAL $225 (with the 5d, 24-70 and 70-200). SCORE!!!

Thanks for posting! I was in NYC for the Expo this weekend and purchased the 24-70 and the 70-200 for the regular price (with the instant rebate). I just called and got the price adjusted/credit for the additional PPE sale.

$399 for the 580EXmkII? I bought one a month ago for the cheapest I could find it in the UK - £290 - that's around $580! wink.gif As long as I feel I got good value at the time, I always find it's not worth getting upset about prices getting cheaper in the future(which they invariably do!)
