World Series time! Rockies fans, prepare to lose!!
With the Patriots being 7-0 and the Sox being at the World Series and the Celtics being a favorite (no one cares about the Bruins or hockey anymore lol) it's a good time to be a Boston fan. It's just too bad I'm not back home to enjoy it.
If there are any other members of Red Sox Nation here, cheers!

Phil you guys definitely have some great teams right now. However I hate to tell you that there is no way the Red Sox will ever be able to stop the Rockies. They have destiny and history on their side. Just like there was no stopping the Sox in 2004, nothing will derail the Rockies.
But hey you still have the Patriots and (hopefully) the Celtics to cheer for.
Seriously thought I think it will be a good series, I really do think the Rockies are going to win though.

I'm with ya Phil! The Sox have the best 1, 2 combo in Manny and Ortiz!!

The funny thing is that the past few days it's been everyone but Manny and Ortiz making big hits, which is why the team is so dangerous. Pedrioia, Youkilis, Ortiz, Ramirez, Lowell, and now the rookie Jacoby Ellsbury. JD Drew might finally be showing why he's getting paid big. Varitek isn't the same hitter he was but he's still not someone you mess with. The only really weak spot is Lugo batting 9th. The lineup will make opposing teams pay.
Andy, hate to burst your bubble, but the thing with streaks is that they come to an end.

And really, the national league is nowhere near as good as the American league. The Sox are not the Diamondbacks or the Phillies, they're far more dangerous top to bottom and pitching wise. But heck, it's baseball, and nothing is won on paper, so let's look forward to a good series!

So I have been in Denver for 8 years now. I am a diehard Braves fan, and the postseason has been over for me since they got knocked out. I will probably be the only person in Denver cheering for the Red Sox. The rockies run is an incredible thing, just don't think they can do it against the Sox

The crazy thing is that the Red Sox could be even better next year. Their starting rotation could be the best, with beckett, dicek (hopefully more consistent in year 2), lester, and bucholz (kid threw a no-hitter this season but was shut down to save his arm), all in their 20's! Could be the foundation for another championship run

I am a longtime Indians fan and my hat goes off to Boston. In fact, I am on vacation next week and part of it will be spent in Boston, so I hope they can take it all.

I'll admit, that was a beat down. They definitely got taken out to the wood shed. But it's only one game, Beckett can't pitch every night and I don't have a lot of faith in Schilling. As they say, "momentum is only as good as the next day's starter." We'll se what happens tomorrow night.

tomorrow night happened 2-1 sox. they can blow out opponents and they can grind out victories.
schilling still had gas in his tank.
jimenez looked good, especially considering he's a rookie, but he was on the cusp of collapsing, he walked a number of guys and they made him pay.
but schilling shows again why he's a big game pitcher. and the bullpen wasn't bad either

it's about baseball my friend. america's sport.
it's funny how people who said the rockies would win have gone silent. it's cute that they thought they stood a chance.
also, what's the deal with the towels and the need to have an organ lead the crowd to cheer? there's no real energy like there is at places like fenway and yankee stadium. you know fenway is really on when the crowd can practically will a strikeout.
as i type this, the sox went up 4-1 and are looking to put the nail in the coffin

I have not gone silent, congrats to your Red Sox they are a great team. I was at the game on Saturday and I disagree that there was no real energy. I stood up and cheered for 4.5 hours along with 50,000 other people. Colorado has awesome fans and we are always growing as a baseball town. I know that the Rockies are going to be back next year. But congrats to you and your Red Sox, they are an awesome team.
