If you put the cards back in your camera, do they appear?

Can you connect your camera to your computer and try downloading directly from the cards?

If the answer is no to both of those, I would seriously consider sleeping on it and approaching it when you are a little more calm. I'm sure you're pretty upset right now, so you would be more likely to make a mistake with more troubleshooting. Search "data recovery" and you'll find some threads that might help.

Hope everything works out!

Erin-

ugh. I feel for ya.

Are you on the latest versions of each recovery software?

There are companies that will recover data. It may so expensive that the images are not worth the cost. But you'll be able to judge that when you get an estimate. I don't know of any off hand but google will definitely get you started. These are prob the same companies that recover data from hard drives, so maybe that would be a helpful term for the queries.

let me know what happens.

blessings,

Erin this happen to me, and I was using a sandisk card. I used their recovery program - took a few hours - but they pulled them all up. What type of card were you using? Did you try PC Inspector?

Hope you can get them off, I understand that feeling!

I had the same problem a few months ago and nothing worked but Convar smart recovery. You can get it for free here:

We were about to cry we were so scarred we had lost some important family photos but it found all of them just fine, took about 4 hours but it got them all.

Try it and I wish you the best.

I also wanted to say that though the pictures did not show up in the camera, it did show that the card had only 66 pictures left so I knew they were there. Don't try one recovery - try several. As one person did this on OSP and was able to recover her photographs. Good luck and let us know how it works out.
