So, I am finally getting more brides in this area to do urban bridals and ttd sessions, but I had to build my portfolio with models first. I could really use some more portfolio images of this type, but they rarely want to use their own dress. Soooo, me being the type to look for any excuse to shop, I went to a bridal salon that went out of business (got a special appointment) and bought an armload of brand new wedding dresses. All $1000+ dresses and I got them all for under $85 each. My husband looked at me like I was nuts when I came home from running errands with a van full of wedding dresses!! Now I just have to find someone to wear them!

I was going to volunteer to wear one, but thought better of it.

My mom bought me some really horrible yard sale wedding dresses... but I don't think that that counts the same way!

Did you find anyone to pose for you? I am not sure what the best avenue for looking for models is but I think you can find an agency and see if any models need test shots...or you can advertise on Craigslist...Good luck and I can't wait to see your shots from those shoots!

The image of Dan in a wedding dress, mowing the lawn is forever burned into my psyche - I am scarred for life. Please don't make me see Ryan too!
