Hi all!

So where is the best place to buy a new 40D since B&H (where I get just about everything) is backordered???
SarahQ
I ordered mine on Amazon last Sunday night and had it in my hands Tuesday morning. Can't beat that! smile.gif

I got mine form Calumet

I think they still have the deal that if you buy a DSLR you can get CS3 for $200 off or light room for $100. off

sarah - when you buy from amazon, do you buy from AMAZON or from one of the other camera stores they list... and does the camera come with everything (battery, cords, softeare etc. etc. etc) you would get if you bought it from a regular store??

amazon may sell it direct. they also sell through adorama and a few other stores. just look at amazon.com, search for the 40D and it will say where it's coming from in the product listing. amazon is an authroized canon dealer, so i'd assume they should have it... which i would prefer personally... haven't had very good luck with adorama.

I ordered my 5D a few weeks ago from Amazon directly and it came with everything--Amazon is really great!
SarahQ
Yep, direct from Amazon with everything included. They do have other retailers though, if they happen to be sold out. I got some stuff from Van's once when I ordered through Amazon. It came quick, too!

One thing to note about B&H--they seem to get their Canon stock in on either Monday or Tuesday. The 40D shows as backordered nearly constantly....but almost early almost every week, it comes back in stock briefly & if you're patient, you can grab it.

That's how I got mine. smile.gif None of the other places were an option since I wanted to use Bill Me Later.

I ordered mine from Profeel Video. I know...not well known, but they had them when no one else did. Great ratings on resellerratings.com. They had great communication and even called me right before they shipped it. No 'bait-n-switch' attempts at all. I wouldn't hesitate to use them when the 'big boys' don't have what I'm looking for.
