I am helping a friend try to recover some lost files. Here is the situation. She saw the previews as she was shooting. When she tried to download them, there were about 30 missing files. She tried Sandisk Rescue Pro. It found the files, and put them in an output folder. It renamed them as Tiff files. We have tried everything, but can not open the found files. We cannot even open the good files once they were found by and placed in an output folder by the rescue pro software. When we look on the CARD in bridge or windows, the files do not show up at all on the CARD. She is using a Canon 30D and a Ridata Card. Does anyone know any tricks to opening any CR2 files with recovery software?

okay so the software renamed them as .tiff files... what were they before? can you just change the extension back to what file type the should be?
