My daughter usually allows me to try out new and crazy ideas that I have, but THIS year, it's actually part of a project for Christmas!
...more of that to come!
For now, please lemme know which of these your prefer!

Thanks!!

I LOOOVE the last one! It's just a great pose that looks quite Rembrandt. It makes me wonder what she's thinking about. She is a cute one! They are all good shots though.

Great shots! #1 or #4 for me! She has such striking red hair I would hate to lose it in B+W.

Looking at your avatar you both have the SAME EXACT mouth..and eyes. but the mouth/smile is identical. I like 3 and 4 the best.

1 and 4!! They're all great though! What a beautiful little girl! My 2 yr old has bright red curly hair so I have a soft spot for those little firecrackers

(wait, that sounds like I thought I was gorgeous....at that age NOTHING could be farther from the truth!)
Yes, 1 and 4 are my absolute faves!!

Thanks for your replies, ya'll!! If I can find the goodies that I'm looking for, there will be more! (Maybe not ALL of just Rebecca, either!)
QUOTE(Ryan J @ October 18 2007, 08:26 PM)

What do YOU think?
Interesting that you should ask! I have a hard time seperating myself; as parents typically love looking at their children, regardless of the artistic merrit of a photo!
BUT...
I think she looks prettiest in #1,
Most Brian Froud like in #s 2&3,
"Cutest" in #4,
And most like her introverted, imaginary-world-dwelling, creative, fairy creature self in the last one.
I'd like to add that it is completely unfair that she's turning 8 next month, and I want my toddler back!

For these, I used one 48inch octobox above her, and slightly camera right.

does that mean you have it on a boom? not quite sure what camera right means...i assume slightly to the right of the camera.

Not a boom, though that would be easier! My lights have a swivel head, and I just swiveled that one downward, whilst bringing the light stand to a higher position.
I was going for a sort of modified, softer version of butterfly lighting.

To add the fathers opinion... I love 1 and 4 but something about the 40's and 50's look of this one really pulls me in. I Love It. (or *heart* it as carrie would say.)

I love all of them... but if I had to pick, I would say #2 because of the artistic feel to it.

What a sweetie... and my son turned 8 a few months ago... and I still can't believe it.

I also think that that shot is "fashion." In fact, when Bec struck that pose, she was saying, "I like to make lots of faces, like models..."
also, YAY!! Sara!

Nice! Send her up to MN so I can do some sweet shoots with her; I'll make her a star! Also, what's your wedding schedule look like for October-ish '08? I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'...

I say #4 is my favorite, a close second is #1 and I love the black and white, but it seems a shame to hide that red hair with a black and white treatment.
