Both my new husband (well, kind of new - 4 months) and I own our own businesses and have long held individual health insurance plans thru Blue Cross Blue Shield. We literally went online and signed up. Recently I called them to see if it would be beneficial to switch to a combined family plan, after about three transfers and quite awhile on hold I was told that I needed to find an insurance agent to help me with this.

Where do I find an agent for health insurance? I've looked all over their website with no results. Do you just open up the phone book? How do you know if you have found a good one or not? Everyone we know has insurance with work and is no help with this...
