I was in Cyprus last weekend shooting my cousin's very L-O-N-G, big, fat Greek wedding (about 14 hours!) and "day after" shoot. As yet I haven't finished editing the wedding day pics but here are some from the "day after" shoot... (a whole bunch more on the blog!)

Sofie! You are such a ridiculous rock star! I just love 1, 3, and 8! The photos on the walls there (a hotel?) are just hilarious and I loooove the juxtaposition.

It wasn't a hotel! My friend and I went to eat at this new cafe/restaurant a couple of nights before the shoot and I totally loved the decor of the place so I asked the manager if we could shoot there. It's called The Brewery & if you skip the intro (I have no idea what semi-naked women have to do with a restaurant) and click on Limassol at the bottom of the page you can see some pics of the place. It was soooooo funky, I wanna shoot there again! There's so much more I could have done if there weren't customers in the dang place!!!! The only downside was, I got accosted by a customer there who was a psychic and would not leave me alone the entire time and kept bugging me to do my reading - she seriously creeped me out! wacko.gif

Sofie,

I caught your comment about Jesh's photos, asking him about the emotion in your images. A couple things, Don't sell yourself short - the emotion is evident in your images and specifically the last one, that I think is the one you were asking for an opinion. Second, it is good to have the mentality of "it just isn't there yet" because you keep yourself hungry and striving to improve, but balance that with the confidence that you have "it" now.

btw, cool stuff.

Thanks Stew. Carrie, yes, it IS an amazing location!! smile.gif The interior design of the place is one of the best I've seen for a restaurant.

Pete, prepare yourself for a LONG day if you're shooting a traditional Greek wedding! No tips for you as such other than to say, I find the Greek Orthodox priests are the most lenient I've come across so far for shooting in the church so that's a plus. I can't think of anything right now but if I do I'll PM you. Do you know which town you're shooting in? Or who the 'tog is? I might know him! Paul & I should have moved to Cyprus by June so make sure you stay in touch & look us up while you're there - I'll be desperate for some civilized British company!

David, it was very kind of you to look this thread up and reply to my question. I appreciate your comments very much smile.gif

One more pic as everyone seems to like the location!!
