I don't know what to do I've shot Nikon for a while now but recently shot a wedding with a Canon shooter(thanks for doing this to me, Jason G!)
I like how the files came out with little noise. This was killing me seeing how little flash he had to use. I don't know what to do. Should I wait for the D3 and put that much money down to get the cam plus new lens. or sell off what I have(not much) and go Gulp, Canon.

D3. Why change systems when a new camera is out in less than two months?

go canon. why invest in a company that's so far behind the digital curve as it is?

Just to clarify...

Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and Anakin (episode 3) all wore black, just like Nikon Lenses

Jedi wore clothing in browns and LIGHT TAN similar to the color of the Canon L series long lenses.

Nikon.....Nikon...Nikon, I guess it doesn't help that they just dropped the price of the 5D by $500 help either. I was going to switch this offseason as well. Until I saw the samples of the D3, and what it could do. This will always be a neck and neck race, but I believe Nikon has just made a huge leapfrog with the D3. Now with the 5D dropping in price, you know Canon has something up their sleeve. It will never end. Good luck

I never referance one or the other as being either but I thought that might start a good fight That was my same thought. After seeing the 5D at work and the out of cam files I thought about the time I could save edit the noise in the darks. The price drop is very appealing but have you seen the images out of the D3 on Nikons site? either way I need to trade/sell lenses and stuff to get the full sensor mode. I'm not to invested but still

Get a Leica M8. They just came down in price $45...

Stick with Nikon long enough to at least try out the D3. It looks to be a perfect wedding camera, on paper, and has incredibly low noise. Why switch entire systems if there is a Nikon solution just a couple months away?

Nikon has been way behind for a couple years but this camera looks to put them right back in the game. Don't get me wrong, I'll keep my Canon's, but it seems wise wait.
