so kacyjo let me second shoot for her 2 weeks ago. it was the first time i'd ever been a photographer at a wedding. here's what i ended up with. ANY thoughts, comments, help, advice, etc are more than welcome, as weddings may be something i really do want to get into.

*note: these images seem to lose contrast, saturation and vibrance once i upload them to the web. they had more *umph* to them in lightroom...

I love the punchy-ness of these! I think you did a kick A job. I've been seeing you on OSP for a while. I can't believe this is your first wedding. Congrats on a job VERY well done

Wow! Great job! I think they look great the way they show up on my pc here at work. Great color, saturation, sharpness. Everything looks great I think. It might be that you were using Adobe Pro Photo color space in Lightroom by default and then sRGB when you exported for the web? Just a thought. BUt they look really nice to me.
Danielle Stolman
The colors look great on this end. You got some great shots, love the couple by the firepit especially.

For the bride alone by the firepit I think I might have shot it as a vertical and with more details on her dress, so it looks more deliberate as a details and not "forgot the head". Altogether really great for a first wedding.

What she said - These are great! With moving and computer crashes I haven't had time to look at any of the pics from that day, but now I'm excited to see the rest of yours!

Soooo are you going to tell *the story*, or should I? Haha! When I get a chance I might have to put some incriminating behind-the-scenes photos up here tongue.gif

Hope your 2nd ever wedding went well!

I think you did a kick Ass job (I think it sounds better this way wink.gif ).

Too good for the first wedding! Hence you should stop now and never ever think about shooting another one, because the rest of the OR photogs will probably start moving out of the state in order to stay in business! joke.gif

As for critique: I have been told that "bride's dress is one of the most important things and you should never blow it out". It looks like you have lost some detail in the dress on a couple of images.

Sweeeeeeet job Mac! Weddings are SO much fun! I've been a second-shooter only three times, and never done a wedding by myself, but hey: our time will come to handle a wedding as primary shooters.

These are so pretty, Mac. I want you guys to photograph my wedding! Haha.

you really did a GREAT job! I love the colors, the last shot of the series is beautiful. And then I also love the 2nd shot down (the black and white) that is a very simle and intimate shot moment. I like the tone of your black and whites, too!

Fabulous job on a first wedding!!! I would never have known it was your first if you hadn't said so!

Seriously, though. How much would it cost for you and KacyJo to come to New York? rolleyes.gif
