I shot with my biggest mentor and photography idol (I know Brody is laughing at this right now! HAHA!) Tina Brogi. I think there is a little bit of an emotion attachment because she shot my wedding pictures and they were like the best ever!

I was really nervous, but it was so much fun. She actually lives in out in Cali but is from St. Louis and comes here sometimes to shoot weddings!

When she said we would be shooting at one of THE best places in St. Louis I was soo stoked.


I got there 2 hours before she did cause I didn't want to be late!
So i just messed around and took a million shots of everything!


It was so great. I got to lolly-gag around the place with my 70-200.







I took 1100 and shot MAYBE 3 posed pictures (only cause they asked). Whoo Ohh what is that less than .03%!!!! I felt like a true photojournalist.



I also got to take a lot of artistic stuff i normally don't have time to do. Like I sat there and cutomed everything for this shot cause I could!





Sorry for all the images, I'm just really exicted cause I got to try a lot of new things. I hope I did a good job and she will ask me agian sometime! The biggest thing I learned is just to relax, when I'm the primary I don't have to get what I"m expected too. If I relax a little more my true photography self comes out.

so awesome to read your excitement! im going against the crowd and saying i like the make up one the best. it's right up my alley though... BW, a little bit of noise, natural lighting, and a beautiful laugh.

plus i lived with a make up artist for a little while so im partial to those shots.

I know how you feel Alisha! I just got to assist my friends and outstanding photographers last month too! They also photographed my wedding, and I had such a giddy feeling when I was helping them. I felt like I was so lucky!!! Hey, and I just carried stuff!
