They all look awesome!
The only thing, and this just might be personal preference, is that I wish everyone would take out the insert in the hanger, or "cardboard boobs", in the dress shots. I know you can't always do it, but especially if you're letting window light come through it and make it transparent, it's great to get that thing out of there so it's sheer all the way up to the top. It's still a sweet shot though.

I dont really like them. They arent very colorful, they are kind of lacking in emotion...

OH WAIT...I mean I DO LOVE THEM!!! THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!!!!! Seriously, brilliant, breathtaking, gorgeous! biggrin.gif

Thanks for that! I will think about it more next time. It never even occurs to me to remove the cardboard, though I obviously should!Cory

Thanks, Melissa for both the humor and the compliments! Cory

They look so stinking happy!

I have an issue with my hands - they always look like mama hands, well worn etc. So when I do ring/hand shots, I like to either noiseware them to get rid of a few wrinkles and such, or blur them a bit. Just my personal preference.

Great work in capturing the emotion.

Outstanding images! Great pop and emotion!

Awesome set! My only thing was maybe crop in a bit on #4. I saw the bridesmaid in the left corner right away and you could probably crop her out pretty easily. Otherwise splendid!!

Thanks! I love the emotion at a wedding and I'm glad I was able to capture it!Hmm. I appreciate the idea on the hands. I've never thought of trying to make someone's hands look better!

Thanks for the compliment! The processing was 100% in Lightroom. I use a custom curve as a default processing preset for adding more contrast.

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for the idea. I think sometimes I don't notice things like that as much as I should. I had to go look at the photo to know what you were talking about!

For the people that IM'd me about my settings for 10 & 11, it is pretty simple setup. It is a direct flash on a lightstand (I was working alone on this one), set to 45 camera left. The exposure was set by metering the sky at -1 to make it darker and the manually set flash fired by pocketwizard to expose the couple.

I really like them all alot! #2 has so much emotion in the hands...her grip says it all :)Very nice

Awesome work!

So you're looking for nitpicks, I'll see what I can do... ;-)

The overall yellow on #3 seems a bit much, if the bride's dress was all white it might set it off better

The DOF (and bridesmade) on #4 are distracting

#5 - I'd likely clone out the sand trap before printing this one

I can't find a single thing I don't love about the rest of them...

Great job.

Thanks for the compliments!

I went back and forth with the color and finally decided on the more yellow version. I appreciate you feeding my indecision! laughing.gif

#4 - I'm moving to the 5d and 24 1.4 combo to make my wide work have a more shallow depth in the off-season. The achiles heal of crop cameras is that the truly wide lenses have such small apertures. This was shot wide open at f4. I completely agree with you, which is the reason for the switch.

#5 - another little detail I barely noticed. I come from a photojournalist background, so I rarely think to modify images that way. It's been a long time, so I really have no excuse, but that's the way my mind works. I also find a person's wrinkles and "flaws" to be interesting rather than something that needs to be removed as well! About the only things I think to remove from images are zits (their transitory as opposed to a permanent feature) and glowing green exit signs. I hate those things!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Bill. Accurate as always!
